Privacy Policy

How TECHBOOK collects, uses and protects your data, and your rights under Egypt's Personal Data Protection Law No. 151 of 2020.

We respect your privacy and collect as little data as possible to provide our services. This policy explains what we collect when you use techbook.com.eg, why, how we protect it and how you can control it.

Who we are

TECHBOOK is an Egyptian company based at Building 461, El Banafseg Buildings, 1st Settlement, New Cairo. We are responsible for the data collected through this website. For anything about your data: hello@techbook.com.eg or +20 111 013 7752.

Data we collect

Data you give us: name, company, email, phone number and the details of your request when you send a project brief or a Back Office request.

Marketing data, only with your consent: your phone number or email if you explicitly agree to receive offers and gifts.

Usage data: a random identifier for your browser, device type, brand and model, operating system, browser, screen size, connection type and device languages, the pages and departments you are interested in, browsing time and active hours, how you reached the website (such as a search engine or a campaign), and domain search terms.

IP address and approximate location: we keep only the latest address and infer an approximate country, governorate, city and internet provider from it using a local database on our own servers (IP Geolocation by DB-IP), without sending your address to anyone; we also use it for security and abuse prevention.

Browser notifications: if you turn them on, we store the technical subscription data your browser provides and the topics you chose.

Why we use it

To respond to your request, prepare a quote and deliver the service (performing your request).

To send offers and notifications if you agreed to them (your consent, which you can withdraw at any time).

To understand which services interest our visitors, improve the website and group visitors into general segments (such as region or interest) to target offers to people who agreed to them (legitimate interest and your consent).

To protect the website against fraud and attacks (legitimate interest and legal obligation).

Who we share it with

We do not sell or rent your data. We share it only where needed to provide the service: the hosting provider that runs this website, our email provider, and our domain and hosting partner (Link Datacenter) when you complete an order through hosting.techbook.com.eg, under its own terms and policy. We may disclose it when legally required by a competent authority.

Cookies and local storage

We do not use advertising cookies or third-party trackers. We use a tb_lang cookie to remember your language, your browser's local storage for the random identifier, your brief and your preferences, and session storage to show the loading screen once. You can clear them in your browser settings.

How long we keep it

We keep request data for as long as we work with you and for the period required by legal and accounting obligations. We keep marketing data until you unsubscribe, and delete usage data not linked to a request or consent once it is no longer needed.

Your rights

Under Law No. 151 of 2020 you may: know what data we hold about you and get a copy, correct it, ask us to delete it, withdraw your marketing consent at any time and object to processing. To unsubscribe use the “Unsubscribe” link in any message, turn notifications off from the bell button, or write to hello@techbook.com.eg and we will reply within a reasonable time.

Security

We use an encrypted connection (HTTPS), limited access rights, backups and protection against intrusion attempts. No system is completely secure, but we take reasonable care to protect your data and handle any incident as the law requires.

Children

Our services are for businesses and adults. We do not knowingly collect data from anyone under 18.

Changes

We may update this policy and will show the new date at the top of this page. If a change is significant we will inform people who agreed to receive our messages.
